Chop up equal parts of Onion, Garlic and Horseradish
1/4 part Ginger chopped
1/4 part turmeric chopped
2-3 Tsp grated Lemon peel
1 Tsp Black Peppercorns
1/4/1/2 Tsp Cayenne or 1 Tsp Fresh Chili or Jalapeno Pepper
1-2 Cinnamon Sticks
Enough Apple Cider Vinegar to cover all your ingredients
Place all of your ingredients in a jar and cover plant material with organic apple cider vinegar. Poke with a utensil to remove all the air bubbles. Continue to fill with Apple Cider Vinegar until the top edge. Check by tasting to see if it’s spicy enough. Seal tightly and label with todays date and name of product. In this case write FIRE CIDER Once labeled place it in a cupboard for 6 weeks to infuse. Shake the jar daily to mix the ingredients...but do not open it until the 6 weeks are up.
Strain after 6 weeks and discard the leftover plant material. Add honey or maple to taste. Store in the refrigerator and take 1-2 spoons twice a day, or more when feeling a bit under the weather. Note: If you plan to give this to a child under the age of one years old, do not use honey, but sweeten with maple of cane sugar instead.
